Description: The fruiting body is composed of numerous caps which arise from sclerotia (compact mass of hyphae). This fungus is also known as "Zgu Ling mushroom" and has been used in traditional Chinese health care for centuries. It is well-known to reduce the risk of a variety of diseases. Polysaccharides (PPS) extracted from this fungus has immunostimulatory properties.
