Description: Wastewater diversity of antibiotic resistant bacteria.The purpose of this project is to determine the impact distinct wastewater sources (such as residential communities, hospitals, and industrial areas) have on antibiotic resistant bacteria throughout the collection and treatment system. This project is designed to identify antibiotic resistant heterotrophic bacteria in wastewater collection and treatment grown on MHA and R2A media using pyrosequencing.
