Project name: Capsicum annuum x Capsicum chinense

Description: A mapping population of 107 F2 plants was generated by self-pollinating one F1 plant from the interspecific mating of Capsicum annuum cv. 'TF68' x Capsicum chinense cv 'Habanero'. The plants were genotyped using SSR, and RFLP techniques. The RFLP probes are random cDNA, random genomic DNA and selected cloned genes from Capsicum annuum. The SSR probes are derived from small-insert genomic libraries prepared from HindII-digested C. annuum cv AC2258 or PstI-digested C. annuum cv 'TF68'.
