Description: Theileria annulata and T. parva genome were compared. Lymphoproliferative diseases in cattle are caused by these closely related protozoan parasites. There is a high level of conservation of gene sequences and synteny between these species. However, there were differential expansion of certain gene families and species-specific genes.
