Project name: Pan troglodytes
Description: This group published the sequence of chimpanzee chromosome 22 which is named chromosome 21 in the new chimpanzee chromosome naming system (as described in PubMed ID 15218271) and is homologous with human chromosome 21. It consists of 33.3 megabases, and 231 coding sequences. Many of these coding squences show differences at the amino acid sequence level compared to their human counterparts. Sequences associated with the publication of chromosome 22, per supplementary table 1, include AL954200-256, 58-59; BS000001-245.
