Project name: Canis lupus familiaris
Description: The Institute for Genomic Research (TIGR) sequenced the Canis lupus familiaris genome at 1.5x coverage using a whole genome shotgun (WGS) strategy and DNA derived from a male standard poodle. The assembly is estimated to represent 77% of the dog genome. Partial or full-length homologs for about 78% of known human genes are contained in the assembly. The WGS sequences have been deposited at GenBank/EMBL/DDBJ under the project accession AACN010000000.
