Project name: Yersinia enterocolitica (type O:5) str. YE53/03 isolate:human faecal
Description: Yersinia enterocolitica is an important food-borne pathogen causing gastroenteritis in humans. It is also frequently found in animals. The species is currently divided into 6 different bio-serotypes, which have different pathogenic potential and differ also in prevalence around the world. This strain was sequenced for comparative analysis of all bio-serotypes. This strain is from bio-serotype 2A and was isolated from human faecal matter.
