Description: Strains belonging to the clonal lineage TB of Pseudomonas aeruginosa became prominent in the Hannover area in the 1980 years colonising the airways of several cystic fibrosis (CF) patients and impairing their clinical status significantly. Phenotypic analyses showed remarkable differences compared to other clonal lineages, but also among clone TB isolates itself, although genomic analyses had indicated a high degree of similarity. Intraclonal variations were also found in transcriptome and proteome profiles of the two CF airways isolates TBCF10839 and TBCF121838. Genome sequencing of these two strains and a clone TB wound isolate TB63741 from the same clinic was applied to unravel the deviations of this clonal lineage from other P. aeruginosas and also the intraclonal genomic deviations distinguishing these special isolates.
