Project name: S_pombe_genetic_diversity

Description: S.pombe is the "other yeast" genetic model system. All 107 known wild isolates have been collected around the world. 14 have already been sequenced. The aim of the study is to sequence 96 samples (three overlapping with the previously sequenced 14) to generate a genetic diversity resource for S.pombe comparable to that available for S.cerevisiae. This data is part of a pre-publication release.
