Description: Pelagic bacterial and archaeal community structure was investigate in water column at ultra-slow Southwest Indian Ridge 10°−17°E (PS81). The 16S rRNA hypervariable V3-V4 region for Bacteria and V3-V6 region for Archaea were sequenced using Illumina MiSeq platform (2x300 bp) with 341F/785R and 340F/1000R primers, respectively.
