Project name: Plasmodium vivax natural genome variation

Description: Field isolates of Plasmodium vivax are being sequenced to provide contributing investigators with genetic data to support locally-driven studies, while also contributing to the development of a global map of P. vivax genome variation. This global dataset will provide a resource for genome-wide association studies and other genomic studies aimed at identifying genetic loci responsible for such phenotypes as antimalarial drug resistance.
