Description: Knowledge on cocoa genetics and genomics is limited; therefore, to accelerate progress to be made in cocoa breeding, the genome of a Criollo genotype from Belize was sequenced. This strain is highly homozygous with large and white bean size suitable for producing chocolate of a high quality and a fine flavor.
