Project name: Streptococcus pneumoniae

Description: To observe serotype shift of Streptococcus pneumoniae after introduction of pneumococcal conjugate vaccine, we conducted a nationwide pediatric pneumococcal infections surveillance in Japan between 2012-2014. A part of the recovered isolates were applied to WGS to reveal the genetic background of the isolates.
