Description: In this study, we reported the first complete telomere-to-telomere (T2T) genome assembly of Eryngium foetidum L. by integrating PacBio HiFi, Oxford Nanopore (ONT), Hi-C, and next-generation sequencing technologies. The assembled genome encompassed a nuclear genome (498.35 Mb), a chloroplast genome (155.27 kb), and a mitochondrial genome (241.66 kb). Genome annotation revealed a high repetitive sequence content (55.30%), with long terminal repeat (LTR) retrotransposons being the most abundant (24.51%), alongside 38,324 protein-coding genes. Comparative genomic analysis indicated that E. foetidum shares two whole-genome duplication (WGD) events with other Apiaceae species.
