Description: This project investigates the spider community in alfalfa fields to understand how spider diversity changes over time and space, and how the five most abundant species coexist by utilizing different ecological niches. We used DNA metabarcoding to analyze the prey composition of these dominant species, which helps to reveal their niche partitioning and reduce competition. The findings from this study will enhance our understanding of spider community dynamics and their role as natural pest control agents, contributing to the development of sustainable agricultural practices.
