Description: In this study, we employed the scRNA-seq technology and time-series metabolite profiling analysis to compare cellular heterogeneity of gene expression in in pap1-D and wildtype plants, revealing PAP1-mediated spatiotemporal gene expression patterns in indifferent tissue types (mesophyll and vascular cells). This high-resolution analysis provides novel insights into the spatiotemporal regulation of the general phenylpropanoid pathway genes, particularly the anthocyanin biosynthesis, within multiple cell types of Arabidopsis leaves.
