Description: In this single-center prospective cohort study, pregnant women with or without hyperglycemia in the Peking Union Medical College Hospital were recruited, and maternal fecal samples were collected in the first , second, and third trimesters. We investigated the alterations in gut microbiota composition and bacterial metabolic pathways in those women via 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing of the V4 region. We hope this project could provides insights into the gut microbial transformation during pregnancy, helping researchers focus on the gut microbiota and its implications for pregnancy outcomes.
