Description: To identify genomic regions associated with fruit weight in loquat, we sequenced an F1 population, comprised of 130 individuals, and its parental plants, as well as 15 commonly known big- or small fruited cultivars using whole genome re-sequencing. Besides, to investigate transcriptional regulations during fruit development, we also performed RNA-seq on 30 samples from two sister lines with contrasting fruit weight performance.
