Project name: Pistia stratiotes genome

Description: Pistia stratiotes (Araceae) is one of the most notorious weeds that can cause serious damage to economy and natural ecosystems of infested areas. Herein, we assembled a chromosome-level for P. stratiotes with a genome size of 311.87 Mb based on PacBio, Illumina, and Hi-C data. In total, assembling the Pistia stratiotes genome provides new insights into its evolution and rapid invasive adaptation and the genome evolution of the Araceae family.
