Description: Solid tumors are complex ecosystems, and heterogeneity is a major challenge in overcoming tumor recurrence and metastasis. Uncovering the spatial heterogeneity of cell types and functional states in tumors is critical for developing effective therapeutics, especially at the invasive front of tumors, the regions where tumor cell infiltration and invasion are most active. We first characterized the tumor microenvironment of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) using SpaTial-enhanced resolution omics sequencing (Stereo-seq) with nanoscale resolution. Sequential comparisons were made between normal areas, marginal areas, tumor areas, and lymph nodes.
