Description: The extensive culture-independent metagenomic studies have greatly revolutionized our understanding of the genetic and functional diversity of gut microbiota. A lack of cultured genome is still the limitation of the genomic study of gut microbiome. Here we present an expanded collection of the Culturable Genome Reference (CGR2), recapitulated 3,324 (1804 new) cultured genomes with high-quality draft, generated from the large-scale cultivation of over 20,000 bacteria isolates from fecal samples of healthy Chinese individuals.
