Abstract
A new animal model characterized by hereditary athymia and asplenia was developed by breeding congenitally athymic with hereditarily asplenic mice. The new hybrids have no cellular immunity and produce significantly less antibody than nude mice. The lasat mouse has been found useful for the transplantation of normal and malignant hemopoietic cells and other neoplastic tissues of human origin.
